Trusting In God In Good Moments and in Difficult Moments

Today we were blessed enough to be cleared for an outing!!!  We were going able to create some wonderful family memories outside of a facility!  So out of the facility we went... Adam, Mackenzie, Stacy, myself, and Dan (he's a CNA and is Adam's favorite one on one that he assigned to, so Dan came to help us out for the day).  Our day started at Starbucks, just like so many of Saturdays before Adam's accident.  We brought my laptop so we could browse our options for the day, for Adam's sake we knew we needed to be indoors today because it was very hot and we didn't want to big of a crowd.  We picked the Titanic museum, Adam and I have seen several documentaries on the Titanic so I felt confident that he would enjoy it too!  It was a pretty cool exhibit, very interactive and we all enjoyed ourselves.  It was so awesome spending time with Adam out and about and creating some wonderful memories!  Adam did amazing the whole time we were out, I was amazed to see him interact and enjoy himself.

After we arrived back at NeuroRestorative Adam decided he wasn't happy about being back and that complied with a shift change so quickly (meaning Dan was off), it through Adam into severe agitation.  For the next 3 hours Adam put himself in constant danger trying to get up on his own and even tried to walk on his own... Adam is still a little unstable and is at huge risk for falls that for his safety he isn't allowed such freedoms just yet.  He knows he's capable, and therefore gets even more aggravated when he's being confronted with a deficit.  I did my best to explain to Adam that NeuroRestorative is the best place for him to be right now, and that everyones goal is for him to come home.  I explained how far he has come and that it's only a matter of time before he will get there.  He asked me several times if we could just go home... I can't wait till the day when I can say "YES!!!"

Jeremiah 17:5-8  “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.  He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”  Please pray for Adam and his agitation, pray that it's not confusing or scary for him.  One blessing that comes from the agitation is when he's had severe agitation it has produced significant gains and progress... please pray that we will see continued progress in the weeks to come.  I believe this season of agitation is serving a huge and great purpose in Adam's recovery.  I continue to place Adam moment by moment in the hands of our Healer, we know it is by God's hands that Adam has come this far, and we know that whatever progress is coming is also at the hands of His great and mighty hands.  Praise God that He has heard the cries of my heart and is healing Adam day by day,  I praise Him for this season of agitation, I do believe He is healing Adam in a huge way through these difficult moments.  I believe in Him and trust in Him and His mighty plans He has for Adam, His mighty warrior!

Difficult moments, trials, tribulations...What can enhance a seed's growth, or cause a plant's roots to anchor more firmly? Fertilizer! What makes the best fertilizer? Manure! Our God is so amazing! Only He can take a poopy situation, and use it to grow us in ways we never dreamed were possible. Thank you Lord!

Matthew 13:23 (NLT)

The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

1 Peter 1:6-7 (NLT)

So be truly glad.[a] There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

James 1:2-4 (NLT)

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Love, Hugs, & Prayers!!!

The Titanic museum, how interesting. Of course there would be a museum of the ship. My friend, Father has His hand on Adam in a special way. He IS completing the healing, as you know, in His time and way. He has several people to reach along the way. I will trust for peace, understanding and JOY for each of you. I love you, Marion
