Faith, Hope, and Trust

Faith is belief that God is; hope is believing that God will do what He has promised, and trust is living with absolute confidence in the Father’s acceptance and unconditional love, and totally abandoning yourself to whatever He asks you to do, even when it doesn’t make sense.

I love the above quote... not sure the author, but it shows that all 3 are important, faith, hope, and trust.  My prayer continues to be that God will give us the faith we need every day, the hope we need to keep going and seeing that He is in control, and the trust we need to make it through every day knowing that He has ordained every minute of this journey for us.  As we are preparing for what might be next, we ask that you all pray for us to remain in God's will and plans for us.  I pray that we will be obedient to His calling on our lives.  We are still waiting to hear whether or not we will get to go to the facility in Florida that seems like a good fit, but if it's not where God would have us go, then I pray that the door will close quickly or swing wide open.

2 Corinthians 5:7   Faith causes you to know in your heart before you see with your eyes. "For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for

Isaiah 26:4  Trust in the LORD forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.

Romans 5:3-5  Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.

I am so proud of Adam... he amazes me every day how hard he pushes himself.  The last couple of days in physical therapy he has worked so hard that he actually breaks into a sweat.  Today in physical therapy Adam walked on the treadmill!  Anne put the lite gait walker the one that harnesses in Adam and holds some of his body weight as he walks... she put Adam in the lite gait and then put him on the treadmill... he did fantastic!  He walked so well, and pushed himself so hard that he was barely using the harness.  Adam had a great speech session, Brooke and Meredith are working on cognitive skills and memory.  In occupational therapy Adam worked on activities of daily living.  He brushed his teeth and was able to help shave himself.  He put on the shaving cream and shaved half of his face!  He did amazing.  I just love that he is becoming more independent.  GO ADAM!!!  Love my man!
