God Truly Preforms Miracles

Amy:  Adam can I have a kiss?
Adam nods and leans forward for a kiss
Amy: Thank you
Adam: (in a whisper) You're welcome
Amy:  shocked and stunned by Adam's response jumped and down and then I said I love you
Adam: (in a whisper) I love you too
Amy:  In tears, rejoicing in this miracle

CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS MIRACLE!!!!  HE SPOKE!!!!  MY MAN SPOKE!!!

As I was crying after Adam spoke, several nurses came over to me wondering what just happened and I told them that Adam spoke, one of the nurses asked Adam a questions and he responded saying yes to her.  Adam talked to one of  the therapists when she asked him a question... it was amazing!!!  I can't even begin to tell you how ecstatic I have been today!  Later when Jack got to the hospital, Adam spoke to his dad as well, when Jack said to hello there, Adam responded back saying hello there... ADAM IS A MIRACLE... and I hope the doctors at UNC who told me he would NEVER speak... I hope they know what a mighty God we serve, because HE is bigger than Adam's brain injury.  WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE.

All I can do right now, is lift my hands to the sky and offer praise to my Savior.  What a mighty God I serve... how blessed I am to witness such an incredible miracle.  Today is eight months to the day since Adam's accident, Lord knew I needed a miracle today... I still can't believe I was given such an amazing miracle.

What a mighty God we serve

What a mighty God we serve
The angels bow before Him
Heaven and earth adore Him
What a mighty God we serve.

As if this day couldn't get any better, my mom also flew in today!  I am so happy she is here with us, it was so great to see her today.  Thank you God for such an amazing day today.

Amy,
Yes, God is bigger than a brain injury and all the negatives we hear in the beginning are a vehicle for the Lord to be glorified because He IS LORD! I know from experience what a big leap this is on so many levels. What a lovely gift the Lord has given to Adam's faithful wife and family.
"Start by doing what is necessary: then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible." St. Francis of Assissi
Continuing to pray and praise,

YEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSS!!! PRAISE GOD!! AMEN!! Thank you Lord God for the continued miracles in our lives!! We so needed a big one! You ALWAYS do immeasurably more than we can ask or imagine!! Oh, Amy, where to begin? We had Night of Worship last night and the Lord just kept bringing me back to the one we had for Adam. Then, we sing "Our God" - mine (and so many others Adam song). The whole song I just kept praying, God You are Healer, You are awesome in power. You are in control of Adam and You can and WILL heal him. After, I was talking to lots of folks and sharing about that song being my "Adam song". I have not been at TCC since I got home, so it was the first time I saw many folks since I was blessed to be with y'all. I was sharing how AWESOME Adam (and you and gorgeous girl MK) are doing. I have been faithfully reading your blog every night or first thing in the morning. Not today. I am at church and Mary Strynar came right up and asked if I read the blog. Then told me Adam spoke. I was frozen, she said it again and I was literally jumping up and down, crying, it's a miracle. People around me thought I was sad or upset - I had to keep telling them they were happy tears for the MIRACLE our God did - right when you needed it!!!! I had Promiseland Praise and was able to share with all the kids about Adam and told them to keep praying, God is answering our prayers, some dr said it wouldn't happen, BUT OUR GOD IS BIGGER!!!. The rest of the morning I have been telling everyone, crying and PRAISING God. THank you Lord, Your perfect timing is simply amazing!! I love you and cannot wait to see you and hear Adam greet me. And his Dad was there. And now your Mom. I was celebrating the head nod to Stacie!!!

Thank You Lord for this incredible step in Adam's recovery! My heart is bursting with joy for all that He has done and continues to do in this journey. Must have been so amazing to hear him speak, and what better words are there than "I love you"? Praise God!!!

Love Always, Rebecca
